💁🏽‍♀️I Tried the Conair Heated Brush-Here’s What Really Happened💨

With the cool weather approaching, I decided to try a stretched style. I washed and deep-conditioned my hair per the usual. I used my trusty Rev-Air to blow-dry it. By then, my arms were on fire, and I was hoping the Conair Double Ceramic Thermal Brush wouldn’t wear my arms out any further. I envisioned smooth, salon-level curls blowing in the wind. But let’s say…things didn’t go quite as planned. 💨

In this video, you will see me add some CHI Silk Infusion for some shine and heat protection. I am using my Felicia Leatherwood Brush for detangling. I like this brush better on my stretched hair than when my hair is curly.

So, the Conair Double Ceramic Thermal Brush heats up to 375 degrees. There is no button to adjust the heat. You simply plug it in and turn it on. Initially, there is a low buzzing noise. There is also no air blowing through this brush. It isn’t a blow-drying brush, only a thermal brush. It has an ION function to it. The ION function is supposed to utilize its heated bristles effortlessly to smooth and shine the hair-to add lift and volume, or, create curls and waves.

I sectioned off my hair into small sections. I was able to get the brush right up to my roots. The brush features a cool tip on the end, which helps you maintain control. It smoothed my roots out nicely, but as it made its way down the length of my hair, it was a bit frizzy. And when I got down to the ends of my hair and tried to curl it, my hair tangled into the brush. To be fair, this may have been my fault. It was my first time using it and I definitely don’t feel like I mastered putting curls or waves into my hair with it. I eventually found a way to put a bend in it. I wouldn’t really call it a curl.

In the end, I ended up using my Red by Kiss 1″ curling iron to go through it and put some curls in it. I followed that up with 6 grey flexi rods. My hair wasn’t nice and sleek how it is when you have a silk press. But for a blowout and using heat tools between 350 and 375 degrees, I am happy with it.

Will I use the Conair Heated Brush again? 🤔 I think I can definitely use this again after a blowout to give me a bit more of a silky effect to my hair. Have any of you used the Conair Heated Brush? If so, comment below and tell me your experience and any tips and tricks you used to give you curls and or waves.
